    Role Summary/Purpose:

    The AVP, Outdoor Marketing will lead development and execution of marketing strategies to drive sales growth and profitability for Outdoor industries. This role will manage client relationships at all levels of the organization and works closely with sales and OEM partners to drive loan and credit volume for Synchrony while meeting partner sales goals.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Partner with business and client team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual marketing plans.
    • Deliver Marketing programs and strategies through cross-functional matrixed organizational structure via multiple channels – OEM client partners, dealers, consumers.
    • Establish and develop key relationships with partner and prospective organizations.
    • Help develop strategic vision for power sports industry and develop partner specific and industry specific marketing strategies and initiatives across the entire product suite from secured installment to revolving financing solutions.
    • Optimize marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals.
    • Identify industry segments to test and implement programs to grow these segments.
    • Manage all aspects of the value proposition development, including tracking industry trends, competitor's and customer experience metrics. Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements.
    • Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan for entire industry. Assist in the development of the Synchrony planning cycle.
    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
    • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in credit card or financial services
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience with direct marketing channels
    • Ability to travel as needed ~ 30%

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Advanced degree (MS, MBA).
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to flex to changing business needs and priorities
    • Experience managing and leading client marketing programs
    • Experience with digital & direct channels - mail, online, paid and earned media and mobile.
    • Experience developing and delivering presentation decks.
    • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
    • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.

    Grade/Level: 11

    The salary range for this position is 90, ,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older
    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
    • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
