    Operating out of 18 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, chemicals and propane that are used across a diverse set of end markets.

    Due to rapid growth, the company is now in need of a capable Credit Director.

    Palmdale is seeking a credit professional to lead and direct its Credit Department.

    We are looking for an individual to handle the day-to day operations, streamline credit processes, and evaluate/mitigate the company's credit risk.

    This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

    Job Responsibilities

    Direct and lead the credit function in establishing goals against key performance indicators including but not limited to customer aging, Days of Sales Outstanding (DSO), minimizing bad debt write-offs and open credit lines.

    Mentor credit team, credit collectors and other credit department personnel on policies, procedures, business processes and proper engagement with customers.

    Initiate process improvement initiatives which support the use of technology and streamline the credit and collections process. Take an active role in enhancements and reporting to company ERP system to support credit activities.
    Build and maintain working partnerships with the Palmdale sales department to encourage sales growth. Seek solutions to new and current customers credit issues while properly managing company risk.

    Provide monthly review to CFO and CEO on analysis of current receivables, key customer issues, and performance improvement to DSO.

    Lead bi-weekly review with Commercial Leadership on health of current receivables, key customers issues and actions for performance improvement of DSO.

    Lead periodic account reviews for the purpose of adjusting credit limits to reflect the current financial position and payment habits of the customer.

    Lead credit team to assign and monitor credit limits to present and potential customers in accordance with established policies. Establish credit limits for individual accounts.
    Oversee company credit granting activities, ensure company adheres to credit policies, procedures and standards.

    Determine an appropriate timeframe for potential credit holds on accounts and when internal collection efforts are no longer deemed effective to recommend for 3rd party collection efforts.

    Experience with review risk profile and on-boarding customer portfolio acquired during M&A transaction.
    Work with legal services on collection matters.

    Job Requirements
    Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present data for decision making purposes.

    One team mindset – ability to build strong relationships with Sales and Commercial Leadership.
    High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
    15 years of experience in Credit and Collections Field.
    Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S) from a 4 year College or University, Finance and Accounting discipline preferred.
    Detailed oriented.
    Highly responsible and reliable.
    Positive and professional demeanor.
