    Essential Duties

    As a Substance Use Specialist, you will partner with care teams to coordinate client care. You will complete Intake & Psychosocial Assessments to determine diagnosis, including mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

    This role requires working with individuals who are in the process of obtaining their LCDP, with proof of progress toward completion of licensure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide individual substance use counseling to assigned clients, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
    • Lead group activities and group therapy related to substance abuse and addictions.
    • Participate in comprehensive team treatment planning and activities.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines and coworkers to ensure client needs are met.
    • Educate clients regarding issues associated with substance abuse treatment.

    Requirements

    • LCDP Certification in Progress with Proof of Progress Toward Completion or Bachelor's Degree with Major in Social Science or Related Field.
    • Exceptional Verbal and Writing Skills with Ability to Communicate Effectively with Audiences at All Levels.
    • Self-Motivated and Independent with Ability to Prioritize Work and Meet Deadlines.
    • Valid Driver's License with Reliable Transportation to Travel to Facilities Throughout the Area.
