    Description

    PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

    This position will be responsible maintaining our commercial fleet including performing vehicle service, tracking service schedule and records.

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues in vehicles and equipment.

    Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements.

    Perform detailed inspections to identify and address worn or damaged parts, ensuring safety and optimal performance.

    Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

    Work with outside service shops on getting trucks to and from repair shops in a timely manner.

    Maintain up to date truck files of all repairs and testing.

    Achieve company goals by regularly performing necessary safety checks, and regulator updates as required by insurance.

    Continuing education by completing technical training. Keep up to date with industry trends and technological advancements to improve skills and knowledge.

    Adheres to company policy in respect to completing and submitting inventory reports making sure it is done correctly, on time, and sent to the main office.

    Performs all other duties as assigned .

    REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

    At least 3 years' experience in vehicle diagnostics, welding, light, medium and heavy-duty diesel truck repair experience, air brake procedures/techniques used in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet & equipment.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat, tanker and air- brakes endorsements.

    Ability to operate company software. Ability to keep detailed records of all repair and maintenance procedures.

    Must follow company and OSHA protocols for safety.

    Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making and skill development.

    Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered "normal."

    Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions. Working conditions may occasionally include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
