    What you'll be doing

    The Early Supports for Infants and Toddler (ESIT) Referral /Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) Coordinator's overall responsibility is to assist families to receive coordinated, responsive, timely ESIT and ABCD referrals in accordance with contractual timelines and requirements. Assures that families who have children with disabilities or developmental delays receive quality family resource coordination in accordance with their rights and procedural safeguards under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

    Facilitates communication among program staff, ESIT and other providers, referral sources, state ESIT and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Staff (CYSHCN).

    Provide program coordination for implementation and expansion of the Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) Program. Works with dental community, ARCORA foundation, and other healthcare providers and community partners to increase the understanding of the importance of oral health and its impact on overall population health. Collaborates with the ABCD Dentist Champion to recruit and train ABCD providers.

    Some Essential Functions Include:

    • Processes ESIT and ABCD referrals, meeting timeliness, family choice and other program standards.
    • Maintains contacts and interviews family to obtain information, provide families with information about ESIT and ABCD programs including eligibility requirements, and query family about provider(s) preferences.
    • Collaborates, supports, coaches and consults with physicians, dentists, their staff and other community professionals to coordinate "ABCD" and "Mighty Mouth in Primary Care" program activities.
    • Maintains tracking systems for ESIT data including client data, referral and evaluation information, eligibility information and IFSP dates for program reporting.

    What we need from you

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g. Health Education, Social Work, Public Health, Early Childhood Special Education, or Nursing)
    • Three years' experience working with families with infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays ages birth to three years.
    • Must have current FRC registration with the WA State DEL, ESIT, Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program or the ability to complete within 30 days of hire.
    • Valid motor vehicle license and current auto insurance.
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification, or the ability to complete within 3 months of hire.
