- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.
- Experience with children facing substance abuse and/or mental health issues preferred.
- OR
- Possess and maintain a certification from the Florida Certification Board and have 5 years of experience with children facing substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Written acceptance for Certification in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree must be obtained from the school administration and kept in personnel file.
- Must be able to apply therapeutic effective aggression management techniques without limitations.

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Prevention Specialist , who will provide problem identification, prevention services and/or referral services for youth that have used tobacco, alcohol or illicit drugs, in assigned school locations.
