How you'll make an impact in this role

• Diagnostic Imaging: Perform ultrasound procedures to examine body structures and tissues, ensuring high-quality images are produced for interpretation.
• Equipment Operation: Set up and adjust imaging equipment, manually maneuvering transducers to conduct both routine and complex studies.
• Quality & Safety Standards: Implement safety protocols and perform quality control procedures while recognizing significant structures, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Technical Documentation: Ensure the prompt submission of accurate images and documents to PACS, verifying image quality, lead markers, and patient history.
• Maintenance & Compliance: Monitor equipment for malfunctions, report potential problems, and maintain a clean department in compliance with regulatory agency standards.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:

  • Registered Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.

  • Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.

  • Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
