    We are currently seeking a qualified individual who possesses a deep understanding of residential design, engineering, and construction intricacies for a client in Houston. This individual will take on the role of leading a team of engineering and design experts responsible for delivering high-quality outcomes to our clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate strong leadership and management capabilities.
    • Previous experience in effectively managing teams of designers.
    • Take ownership of team safety, quality, delivery timelines, and productivity.
    • Review designs prepared by the Structural Department.
    • Assist in establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the structural department.
    • Resolve complex field issues at the highest level.
    • Possess expertise in wood frame construction and concrete foundations.
    • Stay updated on current code standards.
    • Mentorship and training of other engineers and Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professionals.
    • Management of clients focused on built-to-rent projects.
    • Contribution to research and development initiatives in new geographical areas.
    • Establishment and oversight of additional teams comprising structural engineers and designers.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in AUTOCAD.
    • Previous experience in report writing (preferred but not mandatory).
    • Familiarity with identifying and addressing construction defects and deficiencies.
    • Competence in MS Office suite.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proven self-starter who can execute tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Hold a valid driver's license with no travel time constraints.
    • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and display resourcefulness.
    • Demonstrates a strong executive presence with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Team player with a positive and energetic demeanor.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving company policies and procedures.
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills.
