The purpose of this job is to support trading activities by conducting market research and analysis, risk management and executing trades with assistance from senior traders.
Perform research on generating fundamental product balances for the US and globally; conduct market analysis to identify shortages and logistical constraintsAnalyze risk and execute trades under supervision of senior traderEngage and provide market intelligence, information and updates for both internal and external risk management activitiesBuild tools to analyze and capture hedging opportunities based on performance objectives and supply/demand modelsCollaborate with other analysts and work as a teamModel behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an area of specialty (quantitative subject, e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or physical science) requiredMinimum five years' experience in the field and/or part of a front desk analytics team requiredMinimum three years' experience in commodity or derivatives industries required
Specialized Knowledge
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; advanced skills preferredKnowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of energy trading and research requiredKnowledge of energy trading markets for gasoline, diesel and bio diesel for financial and physical contracts required
