- Define, evangelize, maintain, and execute a hardware roadmap that delivers on CHEF iQs ambitious growth objectives
- Be hands on developing early prototypes with engineering team, and testing them to inform design approaches
- Define specifications and requirements for new hardware products and work across engineering domains (mechanical design, industrial design, electrical design, firmware engineering, software and systems architecture, e.g.) to deliver them
- Apply design thinking and human-centered design principles to create intuitive, delightful user interfaces and experiences
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning and communications around new and existing hardware offerings
- Manage the full product lifecycle for our portfolio of hardware from introduction to end of life
- 5+ years of hardware product management experience, preferably in IoT or connected devices
- Hands on prototyping experience
- Creativity, passion, and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative, team-oriented personality
- Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills
- A track record of success of launching new hardware products that meet customer needs through effective customer discovery
- Experience with creating and releasing designs in CAD (e.g. Solidworks) and rapid prototyping techniques (e.g. 3D printing)
- Previous experience with embedded systems as a plus
- Previous experience with kitchen appliances as a plus
