Job summary
Teachers are expected to deliver rigorous instruction to students in order to promote intellectual, social and physical growth and ensure that regardless of socioeconomic factors every student is prepared for accelerated learning to compete in a global economy.
The teacher will teach knowledge and skills in one or more Career and Technology Education fields in accordance with district curricula and industry standards. They will develop lesson plans and instructional materials for subject area, translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments challenge students best utilize available time for instruction instruct students proper use care professional equipment technology other professional materials promote critical creative thinking analysis related subject areas serve CSTO sponsor involve students professional associations affiliated career pathway prepare students industry certification exams organize maintain system accurate complete record keeping grading reporting student activities achievement attendance required district procedures applicable laws administer standardized tests District testing programs administer industry certification exams FWISD CTE department policies design learning activities demonstrate application profession everyday existence projects demonstrations experiments hands on activities promote classroom environment safe conducive laboratory individualized small group instruction student learning ensure student conduct conforms school standards school district policies establish maintains standards student behavior needed achieve functional learning atmosphere classroom encourage parental involvement education ensures effective communication parents coordinate other professional staff members especially special education participate faculty meetings committees select requisition appropriate books instructional aids supplies equipment maintain inventory records ensures equipment good working order attend participates school events during outside regular school hours demonstrates high professionalism standards conduct work ethic demonstrates cultural competence interactions others respectful coworkers communicates acts team player promotes teamwork responds acts appropriately confrontational situations performs job related duties assigned Board rules policies regulations comply lawful directives rare situations driven need team effort expected.
