Insight Global is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to join one of the world's leading technology companies based in Sunnyvale, CA.
This will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for sensors, audio, camera subsystems by working with domain leads and partners
Track and execute on detailed test plans for the PCB, modules, subsystems characterization to meet key deadlines and priority goals.
Develop automated test setups with SW scripting to implement module characterization/validation
Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
Support system bring up and debug activities
Clearly communicate test plans and results

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of Electrical System testing for consumer electronics
Experience with one of the subsystems - sensors, audio, camera
Experience executing electrical testing on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
Understanding of board schematics and board layout. Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Self-motivated and team player
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Board and system level Validation and debugging experience
C# and shell scripting is nice to have.
Experience with data acquisition device (DAQ).
Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
