    The

    Mechanical Engineer

    will support the design, development, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

    Principal product lines include Conveyor Systems, Mobile Conveyances, Casing, Palletizing and Shrink wrap and other Material Handling Equipment, typically encountered in an industrial process flow.

    Also works on packaging products such as trays and sacks including design, development and testing.

    May be required to assess feasibility of equipment in internal customer applications and participate in ongoing design reviews and brainstorming sessions with other engineers.

    Experience with 2-D CAD, MS Office, and other widely used software packages required. 3-D CAD is a plus. Experience with product packaging methods and solutions is a plus. May require substantial travel.

    Essential Functions

    Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
    Develops design improvements to mechanical equipment in a modernized industrial/manufacturing plan.
    May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
    May report to an executive or a manager.
    A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    6-8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing and supporting mechanical equipment. Preference to those with industrial/manufacturing experience.
    Experience using 2-D CAD and MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, and Access) required.
    3-D CAD experience a plus.
    Works under immediate supervision.
    Typically reports to a manager.

    Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods.
    Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
    Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
    Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test.
    Must be able to travel.
