    Description

    The Director of Business Development will have a direct impact on the growth and success of our EV business by identifying opportunities and bringing them to close. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of selling technology solutions to a variety of Enterprise and Channel customers; experience selling and/or implementing EV Charging solutions with industry relationships would be a huge benefit. We're moving quickly, as is this industry, and the successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced sales environment, be creative, independent, focused, and an excellent problem solver.

    What you'll do

  • Be responsible for the development and commercial success of a designated sales region (midwest) or sector for FLASH's EV Team
  • Meet and exceed individual revenue targets and contact quotas
  • Qualify and develop new business opportunities from outbound/inbound calls, leads either new or generated from sales organizations within FLASH, general prospecting, and email marketing. This may include cold calling and networking in the region to develop your own opportunities but will have an opportunity to take the existing sales leads and build a book of business

  • Lead sales presentations and demonstrations to customers and prospects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, present, articulate/clarify value and differentiation, and win the business in the expected timeframe
  • Develop territory/sector strategy
  • Accurately forecast revenue for territory and accounts, maintain contact information, business history and opportunity details in continuously
  • Develop a strong technical baseline through training and development milestones to help the existing sales team be successful and stay up to date with industry trends

    What you bring to the table

  • 5-7 years of outside sales experience required. Experience in e-mobility and cloud services a plus
  • A history of success developing, driving, and closing business and (over)achieving against quota
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on commitments
  • Relevant experience with technical solutions and consultative selling
  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
  • You need to be an energetic self-starter and able to work hard, independently. You appreciate autonomy, but also appreciate team support
  • Capacity to interact and communicate effectively with internal resources and executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - you're able to map out strong business plans for others to easily interpret and follow
  • Territory (home) based with travel required to customer sites for presentations. We're targeting the East coast for this hire, so a home base in EST would be ideal
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (strongly) preferred
