- 4+ years of Nursing leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, Director of Nurse, or Charge Nurse
- Heavy med-surg nursing background
- Ability to manage a team of 50-60 staff (clinical and non-clinical)
- BSN and MSN Degree (or actively pursing MSN and completed within 2 years of hire date)
- BLS certification
- Active NJ RN license
- Daily operations of the department such as staff assignments, coordination of care, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in collaborative practice, rounding on patients and maintaining TJC standards compliance.
- Collaborates and partners with the nursing leadership team in determining operational needs and priorities.
- Provide the necessary education, training and coaching to nursing staff based on their learning needs.
- Assesses the competency profile of the nursing staff ensuring required competencies are met.
