- Responsible for personal safety record; know, understand, and comply with all project/site safety requirements.
- Responsible for performance and compliance of the treatment systems with respect to permit equivalencies.
- Interacts with client organizations, including engineering departments, site managers, and consultants.
- Collaborate with internal our Equipment, Construction, O&M, and Finance teams to successfully manage projects.
- Assist in preparation of estimates for materials and labor for O&M projects.
- Trains, directs, and coordinates the work of other operations and maintenance staff; may oversee subcontractors and vendors.
- Use computer-based maintenance program as part of workday; prepares basic reports and communications using computer programs; skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email programs.
- Lead troubleshooting and emergency response efforts.
- Preparation of Discharge Monitoring Report (DMRs) as required.
- Records operational data, meter, and gauge readings on specified forms.
- Operates, inspects, adjusts, and monitors process equipment, meters, gauges, and controls to detect problems/malfunctions and maintain proper level of equipment operation and system performance on air, water, groundwater, wastewater, industrial wastewater, and leachate systems.
- Collects process and groundwater samples for testing or may oversee sample collection process; performs low-flow groundwater sampling; performs sample collection and process control testing and field testing of water, soil and air samples as required.
- Maintains consistent production quality and work records.
- Performs preventive maintenance using hand tools, power tools and/or precision equipment in accordance with O&M guidelines and requirements.
- Add and adjusts the dosing of process chemicals such as Acids, Bases, Oxidizers, polymers and coagulants using mixers, pumps and metering devices.
- Responds to alarms for emergencies at various facilities/systems.
- Current Industrial Wastewater Operator's License, NJ N-3 or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in industrial wastewater operations and project management having successfully demonstrated the ability to succeed utilizing this knowledge base.
- May serve as Operator-of-Record with the regulatory agencies for selected treatment systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend and follow safety procedures.
- Able to evaluate physical characteristics of water and waste streams.
- Perform and interpret laboratory analyses.
- Ability to evaluate, operate, and troubleshoot process equipment, meters, and gauges.
- Understanding of major mechanical equipment and able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on those components.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good working knowledge of Physical and Chemical treatment processes additional experience with biological systems is preferred.
- 40-hour Hazwoper certificate/8-hour refresher preferred.
- Must have a flexible Work Schedule, OT, and weekend shifts and out of town travel 25% of the time may be required.

Job DescriptionGround / Water Treatment & Technology (GWTT) is looking to add an Industrial Wastewater Project Manager to our growing Operations & Maintenance Services Team. The right individual will be dependable, self-motivated and a team player with excellent communications skills.
All candidates should have a minimum of 6+ years of relevant Process and/or Water Treatment experience, demonstrated good problem-solving skills, along with strong communication skills. A Industrial Treatment License or the reciprocal equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to perform the work responsibilities summarized below.
