- Proven ability to manage clerical, instructional and management personnel. Demonstrated understanding of the budgetary process.
- Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting academic and vocational education and accreditation.
- Must understand a broad spectrum of operations of a large academic institution including but not limited to academics, various delivery modes of courses/programs, faculty and staff supervision, Human Resources policies, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board policies, institutional policies and regional accreditation.
- Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.

Summary of Position
The Dean of Academic Instruction is a staff position whose overall duties and responsibilities include providing leadership and guidance to the faculty and associate dean(s) in the academic departments.
The Academic Departments include Communications; Fine Arts; Mathematics, Robotics, Drafting & Design, Engineering; Science and Agriculture; Social and Behavioral Science; Kinesiology.
Provide oversight of instructional programs and instructional policies for Central Texas College worldwide.Minimum Required Education
Masters degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Preferred degree in education, leadership, management, or related field.
Minimum Required Experience
Five years experience in managing college educational programs and three years of supervisory experience and three years of teaching experience required.
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thur 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30
