    SUMMARY:

    Goodwill is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in an unarmed, uniformed role as a Loss Prevention Agent

    This is an hourly position ($17-$20) and requires commitment to working weekends, nights, and holidays.

    Being bilingual is a significant advantage, but it's not a mandatory requirement.

    All applicants must have reliable transportation (as you may have to travel to different locations) and demonstrate open availability.

    Under general supervision of the Loss Prevention Manager, the Loss Prevention Agent is responsible for assisting in Trespassing, Store Security, Loss Prevention Awareness, and assists with staff training regarding Loss Prevention awareness.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    1. *Demonstrate company's values at all times.
    2. *Assist in patrolling sales floor to detect and observe customer behaviors, in accordance with applicable state laws and company policies and procedures. Reports observations to Loss Prevention Manager
    3. *Communicate daily with Loss Prevention Manager & Store Manager.
    4. Follow the five points of loss prevention to effectively determine the correct course for trespassing, deterring or law enforcement involvement.
    5. *In collaboration with Store Manager, prepare and submit incident reports for pursuit through the civil judicial process.
    6. *Work with all personnel to reduce the risk of theft through awareness and close interaction including, but not limited to, security policies and procedures, inventory shrinkage reduction, and cashiering standards.
    7. Maintain a positive working rapport with local police and judicial agencies.
    8. Perform special security duties as assigned, including remote observation, witness to interviewing process, research integrity checks, document assessment, testifying in court and undercover assignments
    9. *Report suspicious employee activities or violations of company policy to Loss Prevention Manager for further investigation and follow up.
    10. *Assist with conducting facility walk-through inspections. Note unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. Complete and submit report; follow-up as necessary.
    11. Reports safety, maintenance and security issues at Goodwill facilities.
    12. *Travel to a variety of company locations where focus is needed.
    13. Travel to courts to testify on behalf of the organization, as needed and assigned.
    14. Provide accurate information and deal tactfully and effectively with everyone.
    15. Other duties as assigned.
    16. High school diploma or GED is required.
    17. Minimum of one year of retail experience
    18. Must be able to operate a computer.
    19. Must be able to perform continuous physical activity to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, grasp, reach, run, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
    20. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends).
    21. Ability to use independent judgment, make quick decisions under pressure, and effectively manage confrontations.
    22. Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
    23. Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
    24. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
    25. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, customers, donors, and persons receiving services.
    26. Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
    27. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a professional appearance.
    28. Ability to communicate effectively in English in all communication formats
    29. Must be able to travel to all Goodwill sites on a regular basis as necessary.
    30. A current Arizona driver's license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
