- Procedure Assistance:
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in performing a variety of interventional procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Imaging Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain specized radiology equipment, including fluoroscopy, angiography, and ultrasound systems, to obtain high-quty images for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
- Monitor and adjust imaging parameters as needed during procedures.
- Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after interventional procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing clear instructions related to the procedures.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Additional certification in Interventional Radiography is preferred.
- State licensure as a radiologic technologist.
