Job Description

Phoenix Group of Virginia seeks an experienced professional to act as the Aircraft Carrier Aviation Support Coordinator . to the coordinator helps PEO Carriers establish aviation readiness on new construction, refueling complex overhaul and inactivation project on Navy carriers. The candidate analyzes technical data coordinates government actions to monitor the maturity and readiness of aviation support systems other than those under NAVAIR PMA 251 cognizance. Expert knowledge of CVN aviation equipment is required including the following systems: Aircraft Electrical Servicing System (AESS), flight gear room functionality and equipment, Mission Ready Room configurations, the Aircraft Engine Components Test Stand (AECTS) and the new upgraded Aircraft Generator Test Stand (AGTS), the Jet Engine Test Instrumentation (JETI), flight deck material handling equipment (white and yellow gear), and electrical support equipment including the FORD Class. Additional experience with Navy's Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS), the Aircraft Electrical Servicing System (AESS), and the Automated Logistics Information System (ALIS) is required to excel in the position. Have a working knowledge of Combat Systems different operating/installed systems be able to report the readiness and issues meeting timelines up line. Have a working knowledge of commitment/liabilities reporting between Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), PMS-378 and NAVSEA to help resolve issues causing delays.

Working directly with civilian, contractor and military personnel, the candidate liaises between PEO Carriers, Newport News Shipbuilding, and the ship's crew The position enhances the Program Office's ability solve unique problems with flight deck certification, system turnover, manning requirements, and deployment capabilities over all phases of a CVN's service life.

Position Requirements:

Education: HS Diploma minimum with over 15 years' experience; bachelor's degree preferred.

Military Experience: US Navy Senior Enlisted. Must have experience in Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) and experience serving aboard aircraft carriers both out to sea and while in the shipyard.

Skills:

Extensive project and program management.

Interpret technical requirements to multiple program offices.

Master knowledge and understanding of aviation support equipment engineering concepts.

Excellent industrial work scheduling and planning documentation.

Perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.

Interact comfortably and appropriately with all military ranks and civilian equivalents.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 356 applications.

Prepare and deliver reports, analyses and briefing materials suitable for flag/executive audiences.

Other:

Able to obtain and maintain U.S. SECRET clearance required

Proof of U.S. citizenship required
