- Analyze potential projects to determine eligibility for energy efficiency tax incentives
- Perform energy simulations for building operations using standard software
- Transform architectural data into 3D models for existing buildings
- Deep dive into building science, especially the interplay of HVAC, electrical, and building envelope systems
- Conduct on-site visits and property inspections
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Support other construction and real estate tax incentive initiatives
- Keep clients informed about project progress
- Identify and address technical challenges
- Maintain the highest professional standards and client confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, construction management, or accounting
- Prior experience with energy modeling software is a plus
- Familiarity with Tax Code Section 179D energy modeling is advantageous
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Willingness to travel occasionally (about 20%)

We are on the lookout for a talented Section 179D Energy Modeler to join our Tangible Asset Incentive Services crew. In this role, you'll be instrumental in expanding our Energy Practice. Our team brings together expertise in tax, accounting, construction estimation, and energy modeling to deliver substantial tax benefits to real estate stakeholders.
As an energy modeler, your mission is to utilize specialized software to create energy models for commercial buildings and assess their efficiency against industry benchmarks.
