    We are seeking an experienced LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) to join our team on a per diem basis.

    Job Description:

    • Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
      • Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
        • Observe patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition for signs indicative of adverse change.
          • Notify the attending physician of emergencies and patient deaths in the unit. Implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
            • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:

      • High school graduate.
        • Licensed Practical Nurse with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
          • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of biennial license renewal.
            • Willing to work as charge nurse and provide coverage during emergencies.
              • Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
                • CPR certification is required yearly.
                  • Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
