Summary of Position:

The Line Cook is capable of executing all sandwich, salad, grill, char grill, pan, fry, and oven items while maintaining a clean, well-stocked and organized work area. This position offers flexible hours and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Able to accurately read and communicate orders
• Works well under pressure
• Team player, works productively with others
• Dependable, shows up to work on time, every time
• Understanding of food safe practices
• Previous experience with grilling, salad and sandwich prep, pans and deep frying a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Presents himself/herself professionally, e.g. clean uniform, well groomed
• Maintains knowledge of recipes and procedures
• Prepares sandwich, salad, grill, char grill, pan, fryer, and oven items to recipe and quality standards
• Meets timing standards on all orders
• Coordinates orders with other team members, assists coworkers as needed
• Ensures area of responsibility is well stocked, cleaned and organized
• Stays up to date on Point of Sale system and how to use it
• Works with front of the shop to take orders and/or respond to customer needs
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food safety throughout shift
• As required: stock taking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks, prep work, order taking, and any other duties designated by the management team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4-8 hours in length
• Ability to lift and carry pounds on a regular basis, throughout shift
• Must be able to push, pull, or lift equipment of various sizes and weights throughout the shift
• Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
• Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing ability and visual ability
