    Overview

    ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Technician to complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs. Performing routine maintenance, repair and replacement of various systems and equipment throughout and around the building. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • At least 5 years related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED is preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
    • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
    • Groundskeeping if the facility contains outdoor areas in need of maintenance
    • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
    • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
    • Complete maintenance and repairs related to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other equipment, systems, or component as needed/required
    • Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks, or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains
    • Performs routine non-energized electrical repairs on such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures
    • Changes filters of commercial HVAC equipment and other basic HVAC maintenance as needed
    • Changes out ceiling and carpet tiles and repairs hinges and hardware on facility doorsPaint, drywall along with repair and Patch
    • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building and Escorts contractors and vendors
