Job Summary
This job is responsible for assisting in the delivery of non-professional nursing care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a defined care team and in accordance with scope of practice.An incumbent performs the basic aspects of general patient care where the services of a registered or licensed practical nurse are not required.
Employees assist medical/nursing staff in the examination, treatment and care of patients, including the transport of patients and equipment and assisting in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
- Provides patient personal care/hygiene and physical comfort,
- Prepares patient,equipment,and supplies for specific procedures/examinations,
- Maintains a neat and organized work environment.
