    THE LOCATION...

    Approximately 1.5 hours away from Atlanta, we are gearing up for the highly anticipated Spring 2024 opening of Athens, Georgia's first luxury, boutique hotel, Rivet House. With a close proximity to The University of Georgia, we are seeking dedicated and experienced team members to add to our growing team and ensure the success of this unique property. The hotel will have 50 luxurious guest rooms, an upscale Italian restaurant and bar called Osteria Olio, a coffee bar and retail shop, and a 2800 square foot health and beauty spa.

    THE ROLE...

    Rivet House is seeking a fun, friendly, energetic, and experienced individual to manage our Housekeeping Department. This individual will work closely with the Director of Rooms and be responsible for ensuring Guest Rooms and Public Areas are in line with IRHG standards. The Housekeeping Manager will effectively lead, train, coach, motivate, engage and provide feedback to the housekeeping staff on a daily basis.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:


    • One (1) year related experience in hotel or similar environment.


    • Speaks with and responds to guests regarding service challenges while showing compassion.


    • Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.


    • Ensure necessary levels of staffing, inventory and payroll is completed.


    • Evaluate employee performance, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and dismissals.


    • Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.


    • Develops skills and abilities of direct reports.


    • Assist Director of Rooms in monitoring high potential team members and ensure their growth as leaders within the company.


    • Solid knowledge of inventory controls, planning and scheduling.


    • Proactive, takes initiative; creatively problem solves, exercises good judgment; attention to details; anticipates and exceeds guest expectations.


    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.

    Requirements:

    Flexibility: Your schedule may vary (days, nights, weekends, holidays) based on seasonality, covers, and hours of operation. In general, you can anticipate working 50 to 55 hours a week.
