Tell the story of the state's health transformation as a ND Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Communications Specialist.

About the Office of Rural Health Transformation: ND HHS is launching an ambitious Rural Health Transformation Project, guided by a simple but powerful belief: when we lead with light, we create systems rooted in hope, clarity, and possibility. This work is about strengthening access to care, improving health outcomes, and building sustainable, people-centered health systems for rural communities across our state. Through deep collaboration across private, public, and community partners, we are reimagining how rural health services are designed, delivered, and supported, so that where someone lives never limits their opportunity to be healthy. The Rural Health Transformation Project has four goals:
Rebuild and retain a rural health workforce
Prevent chronic disease, restore health and reduce costs
Bring high-quality care closer to home
Gain efficiency with modern technology and data
About ND HHS: ND HHS strives to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation by reinforcing the foundations of well-being: physical, economic, and behavioral. Those services are to be delivered as close to home as possible with a focus on dignity and respect. The keys to delivery of those services are the 2800 committed, compassionate ND HHS team members and more than $6 billion in funding from nearly 200 different federal, state, and special sources.
