    JOB OVERVIEW


    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable as it pertains to the financial processing of transactions for the Company.

    Duties include processing vendor invoices into the accounting system, obtaining approval for vendor payments, supporting the payment of invoices and accurate record keeping.

    Prepare and disburse invoices to customers. Resolve issues with delinquent accounts through contacting and working with the customer. Reconcile transactions with statements. Maintain accurate financial records of all receivable transactions and verifications. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our clients via phone and email and maintain proper documentation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


    • Works with the Corporate Accounting Team for daily transactions focusing on client billing and collections, accounts payable duties and reconciliations.
    • Efficiently and proactively manage client/colleague correspondence (incoming/outgoing calls, emails) on a daily basis
    • Perform reconciliation for bank accounts
    • Perform General Leger and Month End processing entries into the Accounting system
    • Efficiently review and resolve accounting cases
    • Effectively learn, understand, and communicate IRS rules and regulations related to IRAs
    • Utilize Salesforce, our state-of-the-art CRM system, to keep all transaction and case statuses updated, also logging all communication
    • Build and maintain relationships with account holders and referral sources
    • Collaborate with the management team
    • Work across departments to assist with special projects, as necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Financial Services environment
    • Experience in Accounting or Finance preferred

    TECHNICAL SKILLS
    To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Intuit QB and/or Microsoft Great Plains is a plus

    This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear.

    The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.

    This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
