    The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops and manufactures products to protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) and associated technologies.

    Heart disease is a leading cause of death in the U.S. At ZOLL, your services will help ensure cardiac patients receive life-saving therapy. To date, the LifeVest has been worn by hundreds of thousands of patients and saved thousands of lives.

    Preferred Candidates Include:

    • RN, EMT, Paramedic, EMS, Firefighter, PA, LPN, MA, Phlebotomy, RCIS, CVT, EKG Technician, etc. All candidates are reviewed on an individual basis.

    Summary Description:

    ZOLL, manufacturer of the LifeVest, seeks a Patient Service Representative (PSR) in an independent contractor role to train patients on the use and care of LifeVest.

    LifeVest is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing protection during changing conditions. It is lightweight and easy to wear, allowing patients to return to daily activities while having peace of mind knowing they are protected from SCA.

    This opportunity is ideal for health professionals with patient care and teaching experience who want to supplement their income. A typical LifeVest patient is in the hospital awaiting discharge, and the Patient Service Representative sets up equipment and trains the patient and caregivers on device use and care. They also follow up with patients as needed to ensure understanding and satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contact caregivers and family members to schedule services.
    • A willingness to accept assignments that may include daytime, evening, or weekend work.
    • Travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities to provide services.
    • Train patients and other caregivers on the use of LifeVest.
    • Program LifeVest according to prescribing physician orders.
    • Measure patients to determine correct garment size.
    • Review paperwork with patients and have them sign necessary documents.
    • Transmit signed copies of Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist to ZOLL within 24 hours.
    • Manage device and garment inventory.
    • Disclose any family relationships with potential referral sources.

    Qualifications:

    • At least 1 year of patient care experience in a paid professional environment.
    • Patient experience must be documented on resume.
    • Completion of a background check (Level 2 screening required for Florida and Ohio candidates).
    • Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
    • Valid driver's license and car insurance or state ID.
    • Willingness to pay $30 annual DME fee deducted from completed Work Orders.
    • Willingness to pay for additional vendor credentialing if needed geographically.

    Estimated Salary Range: $40-$60 per hour based on assignment location and complexity.
