    Ridgeview Garden Assisted Living of St, George UT, is looking for a fun, hard working, motivated individual to be our new Culinary Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare/cook/serve meals to residents and staff on a daily basis
    • Manage the kitchen and kitchen staff
    • Maintain a five week rotating menu that changes with the seasons
    • Utilize different foods that meet the daily nutritional requirements per AL Type 2 regulations
    • Order food and supplies while sticking within the designated budget for the building

    Requirements:

    • Must be able to successfully work with dietitian and state officials
    • Have an understanding of dementia and how it affects their well being
    • Know how to successfully prepare and serve food for individuals with dementia or physical disabilities
    • Have knowledge of how commonly used medications can affect residents with the foods they eat
    • Able to manage and stick within a budget
    • Maintain a special diet board so that staff is aware of allergies, special diets, and diabetes
    • Communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and home office personnel
    • Would be responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, terminating and monitoring staff performance, and most importantly, keeping staff motivated and feeling like part of the team
    • Would be required to participate in daily/monthly meetings about building/staff/special events

    ServSafe Certification, background check, and TB test are required upon hire.
