    Job Description

    General Carbide is hiring Machinists (Machinist Operators) to operate various machines and perform assigned tasks to produce precision parts. You will use both manual and automated equipment to ensure efficient production operations and accurate measurements. The main goal is to optimize procedures and ensure quality output.

    We are currently experiencing rapid growth and are committed to investing in our employees by providing training opportunities for career advancement through on-the-job training and recognized apprenticeship programs.

    We are looking for skilled individuals with high energy and a strong ability to work in a team environment to meet customer demands. Our facilities are equipped with a variety of machines including HAAS, Mazak, Doosan, Kellenbergers, Rollomatics, CNC Lathe and Mill, and EDM Wire/RAM, among others. Employees will have the chance to learn and receive cross-training across different machines and departments.

    Requirements:

    • 1+ years of machining experience is preferred
    • Demonstrated experience as a machinist
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift items weighing up to 30lbs
    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus
    • Successful background check and drug test
