Job Description

TruckPro is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Duty Truck Repairs who is committed to repairing light duty trailers (various models) to specific customer and industry-standard specifications. This role will also perform driveline repairs.

Diesel Truck Mechanic Responsibilities Include:

Perform repairs to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Perform basic welding functions
Inform customer/manager of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
Minimize warranty claims and re-work
Submit work orders for invoicing
Maintain repair parts inventory and supplies
Prepare list of required replacement parts
Clean work area as required and maintain equipment, adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards

Successful Diesel Truck Mechanic Candidates Will Have:

Diesel truck mechanic experience, to include:
- Preventative maintenance services, brakes, suspension, clutch replacements, component replacements, and transmission repair jobs
A basic set of hand tools, or willingness to purchase hand tools required for the job
Technical training in heavy-duty, diesel truck mechanics
Initiative to address challenges and seek solutions
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Customer service orientation
Ability to safely lift heavy parts and use shop machinery
