    Position Description

    GENEX Cooperative is seeking a Director of Global Inventory Management in Shawano, WI. This candidate will manage both semen and product inventory to meet the needs of GENEX US, Wholesale, and International Retail business. Also, to maximize profit and minimize product loss due to either aging or miss use of inventory. This candidate will work with business units on sales forecasts, genetic requirements needed for customers, allocation of inventory and production needs with PEAK. As well as will work with distribution to manage process controls to achieve such objectives and to reduce the effective cost in maintaining a financial reserve for inventory loss by reducing obsolescence.

    Major Areas of Accountability
    • responsibility to manage total inventory in units and costs to meet the needs of each business unit
    • Development and use of KPI to include inventory turns, field inventory, unit profit analysis by business, inventory reserve, and fulfillment analytics.
    • Create business management plans to assure product availability to meet sales needs while lowering the cost of obsolescence and loss for products or services to increase profitability.
    • Create and manage new tools to manage daily field inventory, central inventory, and updating production needs to PEAK to meet sales demands
    • Work in close contact with the business for GENEX US retail, wholesale, distribution, international retail and Peak to discuss results and make, and execute, plans to further improve inventory management and results.
    • Assist in the preparation, and analysis, of yearly budgets for inventory and sales needs
    • Provide a leadership role in improving inventory processes throughout the organization.
    Qualifications
    • A bachelor's degree in a related field to inventory management and or experience in managing process with 5-8 years of relevant management.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Have the ability to communicate objectives, processes and decisions
    • Occasional travel will be required,
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and duties successfully to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
    • Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, BI and ERP systems
    • Willingness to develop and grow both personally and professionally.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal a must
