    We're on the hunt for a skilled Trial Attorney to reinforce our legal team. In this role, you'll tackle challenging cases within the state administrative process related to Workers' Compensation. Working closely with the managing attorney, you'll serve as legal counsel in various court settings.     This position provides a competitive salary range of $130,000-$160,000, a hybrid work model, and the chance to be part of a company that values both its clients and employees.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Defend complex Workers' Compensation cases at trial level
    • Conduct depositions, assess testimonies, and prepare necessary reports
    • Represent the company in hearings and conferences
    • Conduct legal research and draft trial-level pleadings
    • Offer guidance to the claims department on case strategies
    • Conduct thorough legal research for clients in appellate procedures
    • Assist in training new trial attorneys when required
    • Maintain professionalism at all times
    • Handle other legal tasks as assigned

    Requirements:

    • JD degree from an accredited Law School
    • Active and good standing member of the California State Bar
    • 4+ years of experience as a Trial Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation defense
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience in training groups on Workers' Compensation defense practices
    • Ability to handle legal documents weighing up to 15lbs
    • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel within California
