What

You Will Get To Do:
Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Set and maintain database standards.
Manage database access.
Performance tuning of database systems.
Install, upgrade, and manage database systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Work with Architects to recommend and implement database technologies.
Work with developers and data governance teams on reviewing and executing database schema changes.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Be part of on-call support as needed.


What You Will Bring:
Experienced in working with PostgreSQL in production environments
Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Understanding of relational data modeling
Linux shell scripting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable attention to detail


Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
3 or more years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
Experience with Linux Server environments
Extensive experience with PostgreSQL database technologies
Experience in DevOps practices and working with Infrastructure as Code is a major plus
