We are one of Southern Michigan's premier, custom design/build remodeling companies and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.

    This position will meet with potential clients and provide timely, accurate project estimates for kitchen, bathroom, basement remodels, and new additions. You'll follow up with potential clients, providing answers and assurance through the design phase. Once the project is in design, you'll team with the project's designer to bring the client's dream to life within their budget and company standards.

    Priority will be given to candidates completing the skills assessments.

    Additional General Responsibilities:

    • Meet with potential clients at their home to determine the scope of work.
    • Identify labor, material, time requirements, and specifications.
    • Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
    • Prepare timely, accurate estimates using project management software, achieving company benchmarks for key financial metrics.
    • Collaborate with the team during the design phase of projects with attention to budget, cost management, timeframes, and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage the project through the construction phase, ensuring safety and quality.

    Requirements and Skills

    • A strong understanding of construction project estimating with demonstrated experience in the use of industry software for estimating and project management.
    • Ability to interpret client wants and present solutions clearly and simply.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation/sales skills.
    • Process-oriented, detailed, and organized.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
    • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
    • Reliable, timely, and driven with advanced time management skills.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years of estimating and construction management experience are required.
    • Bachelors' degree in related field preferred.
    • Previous experience with Buildertrend or Houzz is preferred. Demonstrated successful experience with similar software and/or technological experience required.
    • A valid driver's license and good driving record are required due to the need to visit clients.
