Job summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed foreach individual student and the physician's orders.The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine student eligibility for services. They will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs. They provide direct therapy services in areas such as articulation, language development fluency voice social communication they collaborate with teachers parents multidisciplinary teams to support student progress classroom integration they participate IEP meetings contribute educational plans maintain accurate timely documentation assessments therapy sessions progress reports compliance records educate staff families on speech-language development strategies support promote early identification intervention students risk communication disorders stay current best practices professional development activities
