    Job Summary:

    The Head of Propulsion Integration at EOS Aircraft, Inc. will be responsible for leading the integration of the propulsion systems into the aircraft design, from concept through to certification and production. This includes overseeing the development of propulsion system requirements, design optimization, system testing, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to deliver propulsion systems that are innovative, reliable, and efficient.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership in Propulsion Integration: Lead the propulsion system integration process, ensuring seamless incorporation into aircraft design with a focus on performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
    • Team Collaboration: Lead and coordinate activities between propulsion system engineers, airframe designers, and systems and mechanical engineering teams to achieve optimal design solutions.
    • Project Management: Manage propulsion integration projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure project milestones are achieved.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all propulsion systems meet relevant aerospace standards and regulatory requirements for certification.
    • Supplier Management: Work closely with propulsion system suppliers and partners to define requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure delivery of high-quality components and systems.
    • Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of the integrated propulsion systems to verify performance and safety criteria are met.
    • Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in hybrid propulsion, leading efforts to incorporate innovative solutions into aircraft designs.
    • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of propulsion technologies and integration methodologies to maintain and enhance the company's competitive edge.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the aerospace industry within an aircraft or OEM environment, with substantial leadership experience in engineering, particularly through the design, development, and certification lifecycle of EASA/FAA Part 25 aircraft.
    • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of contemporary propulsion technologies, system integration, and aerospace certification processes.
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from concept through to certification and production.
    • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges through innovative solutions.
    • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

    • Prior experience in an aerospace start-up or with (electric) aircraft development is highly valued.
