Business Continuity Business Analyst III
Summary:
As we continue to increase the number of work locations across the country, there is an ever increasing need to enhance our business continuity planning and emergency planning company wide. Successful operations when faced with an emergency necessitate a comprehensive approach and implementation to business continuity and emergency planning. The ideal candidate in this role will have a degree in business continuity and/or emergency planning and be able to readily create from the ground up a business continuity plan that applies to both traditional office locations as well as warehouse locations.
Expected Tasks and Description
Maintain and/or create the business continuity management program incorporating business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident/ crisis management
Work with cross-department support staff to develop, maintain, and execute incident management procedures
Oversee the development and execution of disaster recovery testing, ensuring that critical business applications/ services can be promptly resumed in the event of disruption
Help develop and test business continuity plans, ensuring plans are periodically updated and improved
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to recover capabilities and recommend risk mitigation strategies
Communicate and coordinate business continuity procedures across various organizational units to foster a culture of preparedness and responsiveness
Ensure that the BCM Program aligns with regulatory requirements and guidelines and work with cross-departmental staff to respond, in kind, to audits, assessments, and questionnaires.
Analyze weekly and monthly metrics, benchmark milestones, and program progress to the Business continuity leadership
Required Skills and Knowledge/Experience
Familiarity with regulatory Business Continuity Management guidelines in multiple regions
Proven record of developing and implementing BCP programs and monitoring their effectiveness, acting in a hands-on project management capacity, not just analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of various BCM software is a plus
Strong written and verbal skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision-making
Self-starter that can analyze the needs, and create comprehensive plans and successfully implement those plans
Ability to travel as needed across the United States to our various sites (approximately 25% possible 1-2 times a month)
Proficiency in using Everbridge or other similar critical incident notification systems is highly recommended
Five years minimum of experience in BCP and a successful track record leading those efforts
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Business Continuity Planning, Emergency Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Risk Management, Public Health, Homeland Security or a related field -- FEMA certifications highly desired.
