About the Role
We are looking for a

Design Engineer

specializing in the design of Audio-Visual (AV) systems of all scopes.
We're seeking a proficient Design Engineer specializing in Audio-Visual (AV) systems across various scales.

As a Design Engineer, you'll spearhead the planning and execution of services crucial for all stages of the AV lifecycle.

Collaborating with integrated system architecture, design, and engineering teams, as well as our Electrical teams, you'll ensure seamless delivery and optimization of AV solutions.

What You Will Do
Design advanced, cost-efficient AV systems for diverse environments including enterprise, manufacturing, sports, gaming, and healthcare sectors.
Cultivate and manage relationships with equipment manufacturers, contractors, integrators, and operations teams.
Develop and evaluate design standards, specifications, and drawing packages.
Generate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) to support project requirements.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for inquiries related to AV system design, operation, integration, and maintenance.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams and field personnel to align designs with project schedules, budgets, and criteria.
Provide support for site surveys, client meetings, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
Design intuitive user interfaces across multiple platforms.
Assist in analyzing reports, drawings, and calculations to refine design strategies.

What You Will Need to be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field is preferred; equivalent technical degree or work experience will be considered.

Minimum five years of professional experience with a focus on AV design and integration, with at least three years in a directly related role.

AVIXA CTS certification is required; AVIXA CTS-D and/or CTS-I certification is preferred.
In-depth technical understanding of AV solutions and products, particularly in the context of large-scale commercial systems.
Proficiency in multiple OEM platforms, with certifications in Q-Sys, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, and AMX being desirable.
Strong familiarity with telecommunications, cable/conduit routing, equipment rack layouts, and power/cooling considerations.
Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus, as is familiarity with D-Tools.
Field experience in AV integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting is preferred.
Knowledge of system programming and computer programming languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
