    Summary

    Fiberglass & Gel Coat Technicians are responsible for repairing cosmetic fiberglass and gel coat damage.They are passionate about delighting customers and achieving or exceeding the customers' expectations through timely service, done in a profitable and efficient manner.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Identify defects such as: cracks, blisters, stress fractures and cosmetic flaws.
    • Estimate repair times, plan for materials, coordinate jobs with management
    • Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas by using appropriate power or hand-tools.
    • Prep fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair.
    • Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly.
    • Mix Gel coat catalyst and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors.
    • Buff and polish repaired surfaces.
    • Overtime and weekend work may be required as customer service needs fluctuate

    Qualifications & Expectations

    • 1+ years of experience as a fiberglass specialist. Maritime experience preferred
    • 1+ years of experience in Gel Coat repair
    • Customer satisfaction, both internal and external
    • Effective customer communication
    • Technician efficiency/productivity
