    Description

    Overview:

    Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations and various standard journal entries for month-end closing process

    Maintains Fixed Assets and Construction in Progress Balance Sheet accounts

    Assist with annual budgeting process and year-end audits

    Responsibilities:
    • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts for Hospital and clinics.
    • Research various bank statement reconciling items to ensure proper posting by working with Patient Accounts and outside billing companies.
    • Prepares Daily Cash Report for Administration.
    • Prepares various electronic fund transfer requests for various cash accounts such as Workers Compensation and Flexible Spending and payments to various vendors.
    • Enter Fixed Assets into Meditech for calculation of monthly depreciation expense.
    • Prepare monthly Capital Expenditures report for Administration and Board of Directors
    • Maintain all Construction in Progress general ledger accounts.
    • Reconcile all Fixed Asset and Accumulated Depreciation general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare Fixed Asset Rollfoward report monthly.
    • Maintain and prepare monthly journal entries for all Prepaid general ledger accounts.
    • Perform various month-end general ledger accounts reconciliations
    • Performs related duties as assigned by the Controller.
    Qualifications:

    REQUIRED

    PREFERRED

    Education:

    Some college with emphasis in Accounting or equivalent work experience

    Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience

    Experience:

    Two years accounting or related experience

    2 or more years in accounting

    Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
