    Description

    Job Responsibilities:


    This position is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks associated with the efficient set up and on-going operation of an elevator manufacturing facility.

    The Industrial Engineer is responsible for specifying and developing operational sequence and manufacturing and logistics methods and must be able to provide technical support for all manufacturing and logistics functions.

    Experienced with Warehouse Management, Lean Logistics, kanban, pull system.
    Experienced with inventory management, cycle count and inventory accuracy best practices.
    Experienced with PFEP (plan for every part), internal logistics methods.
    Develops, prepares, and maintains manufacturing process routings.

    Implements and maintains work standards records, including engineering and estimation of set-up and run times for all manufacturing and logistics processes.

    Develops and implements manufacturing engineering procedures.
    Responsible for methods improvements of manufacturing processes to provide most economical means of production.
    Provides technical support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment, feasibility studies.
    Identifies areas for improvement in processing efficiencies, capacity, energy, safety and environmental systems.

    Ensures manufacturing processes, engineering projects, production yields, new product introductions and cost reduction programs are in conformance with company objectives.


    Education/Certifications:
    Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in an engineering discipline.


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of ten years' experience in a manufacturing / logistics setting required.
    Special knowledge or skills required.
    Experience with hands-on project leadership from concept through deployment with multi-functional, global teams required.
    Exposure managing competing priorities, distributed teams, multi-disciplinary and cross-organizational stakeholders, and complex system trades required.
    Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Teams, Project, Word, Excel) required.
    Ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative, team environment required.
    Effective communication and presentation skills required.
    Proficiency in spoken and written English required.
    Lean Manufacturing.
    Six Sigma
    Experience with ERP software, preferably JDE.
