Program Associate I - Detroit

We are looking for a highly skilled analytical and detail-oriented Program Associate I to join our Day Treatment Team.
This will consist of working closely with the students, teachers, ancillary providers, behavior specialists, comprehensive schools' staff, district wide evaluation center, district evaluators, behavior data tracking/behavior data monitoring,
Responsibilities
- Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly behavior compliance reports of District and ESE Leadership.
- Input students'' behaviour and discipline data into Power School Student information System.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Master's degree preferred Minimum of three years behavioural or administrative experience previous experience in special education behaviour intervention preferred Knowledge of Special Education preferred Comprehensive knowledge Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education MARSE preferred Excellent verbal written communication skills Proficient basic computer skills operations web-based systems Demonstrated leadership skills prior professional role Experience working urban school system strongly preferred Demonstrated analytical skills Previous maintain student privacy security Essential Functions Generate weekly monthly quarterly behaviour compliance reports input students behaviour discipline data facilitate processing purchasing requisitions assist logistical resources workshops conferences Perform complex technical tasks confidential nature other duties assigned ESE ACT18 Executive Director Principal Develop deliver lead professional development opportunities virtual blended learning modules based on data trends staff needs Positive Behaviour Supports Restorative Practices Serves as school point contact responding student behaviour applies incentives consequences accordance Positive Behaviour Support Plan Monitors acts necessary based on monitor student act accordingly Provide relevant workshops experiences students parents Promote growth mindset among staff encouraging increased resilience willingness tackle challenging academic tasks Provides models best practices teacher coaching cycle support Positive Behaviour Support initiatives Reinforces rules policies expectations classroom ensures rights all students observed protected appropriate respectful communication proper de-escalation techniques nonviolent crisis intervention strategies required Communicates frequently proactively families Engages ongoing learning regular professional development collaboration Collaborates administrators issues related positive culture Sit IEP meetings representative Reinforces mission faculty staff Management Supervision day events Completes duties assigned Security Clearance Internal Applicants If current Detroit Public Schools Community District employee do not have submit new security clearance unless new role requires different type criminal background check External Applicants In alignment Michigan law if hired fill position will be required submit Detroit Public Schools Community District criminal background check Information regarding required background checks shared at point hire Method Application Applicants apply through online application system Only applications submitted online application system considered any posted position all applications require resume considered Successful candidates submit official transcript offer hire Teaching service outside Detroit Public Schools Community District verified applicant prior employer hire is responsibility provide documentation including copies requested Contact Office Human Resources email phone DPSCD does discriminate race colour origin sex disability religion Civil Rights Coordinator more
