- Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
- Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards to include: Obtain patient medical histories and consents, start IVs, hook up 12 lead ECGs, administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform, and process nuclear cardiology procedures according to protocol, assist nursing staff while performing stress tests.
- Provides appropriate Nuclear Med/PET screening process to patients, staff and selfaccording to prescribed safety standards.
- Maintain Hot Lab and Health Physics requirements according to policy.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new staff and VUMC Nuclear Medicine students.
