    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Head of Construction, the successful candidate will be counted on to build partnerships with the retail stores and the 3rd party contractors to collectively execute construction projects (new stores, remodels, and capital improvements) to deliver safe and high performing facilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility. They will ensure up-time of critical facility operational equipment, provide asset protection and coordinate with outside contractors regarding building services to ensure a clean and safe environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual projects including planning, construction, and closeout.
    • Interfaces directly with project stakeholders to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones.
    • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines.
    • Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
    • Provides thoughtful leadership in the creation of project plans and timelines and facilitates workout sessions and key meetings.
    • Provides guidance and support to onsite construction teams and acts as liaison between property management, store leadership and construction teams.
    • Assists in creating Capital Budget for capital project initiatives. She/he will manage and execute approved projects to the budget created.
    • Assists business in compiling timelines, communication plans, written status reports, and scorecards. Aids in selection of success metrics for proof of concepts, pilots, and rollouts.
    • Assists Facilities team on tickets / issues that affect the operations of equipment or building as needed.
    • At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to team and partners. Effectively applies lessons learned in subsequent projects.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Experience in a highly relational, service-oriented environment a plus.
    • High sense of urgency.
    • Prior project experience in commercial construction.
    • Experience with Procore and Smartsheets a plus.
    • Candidates must be able to organize multiple priorities to ensure that resources are properly allocated to meet objectives. They must have strong organizational and intuitive skills to make sound decisions without direct supervision.
    • Firm knowledge of retail construction, project management and commercial real estate preferred.
    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
    • This is a full-time position, and typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hours may vary based on business requirements). This position regularly requires long hours, and the candidate must be able to work a flexible work week, and work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.
    Travel:
    • This position requires up to 40% travel.
