Position Summary

The Software Engineer – POS will analyze, design, and develop POS Systems and maintain and enhance existing software. Will also provide technical direction in new systems development and enhancement of existing systems.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Software Architecture decisions
• Work with Product management to design first class server-based gaming systems.
• Participate in production support and problem resolution.
• Test and debug programs for accuracy and functionality
• Participate in research and development of experimental designs and systems.
• Mentoring of non-senior development staff

Requirements

Experience and Education

• BA/BS in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related degree
• 8 + years of experience working with POS systems and other customer facing applications.
• Strong knowledge and experience of C# .Net
• Experience with MS SQL Sever
• Experience designing complex software systems.
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented development techniques
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Visual Studio .Net development tools
• Understanding of relational database, stored procedures, and data access methods
• Agile Development
• Microsoft development certifications, preferred.
• Experience with installation packages preferred.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture preferred.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira and Bit Bucket suite of tools from Atlassian preferred.
• Git expertise preferred.
