Job Summary and Qualifications

Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.

Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed

Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate

Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed

Performs all computer and PACS functions

Assists Radiologists and Medical Staff during angiographic interventional and special procedures; able to scrub and assist physicians in the invasive procedures, as necessary

Demonstrates understanding of interventional supplies and equipment operation

Participates in the improvement of operational functions of the department

Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care and practices identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration

Performs all other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:
Required Registration, Licensure or Certification
Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Required Education or Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Preferred Education or Experience

One year of experience in an Imaging Department
