    Wage:
    $26.00-$30.00 per hour

    QPS Employment Group has a great Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician position available at a company in Roseville, IL. This is a direct hire position.

    Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Design and fabrication of Panels and Electrical Boxes.
    • Design, test, and make schematics of panels and electrical components for smokehouses and other projects.
    • Work with Automation Engineers to help design, program, and test automated machinery processes.
    • Organizes work by reviewing daily requirements; checking and gathering supplies to help better/service job.
    • Install, maintain and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
    • Travel to job sites in service area, and work to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
    • Be available to work nights or weekends to service emergency needs of our customers.
    • Document all installed equipment upon arrival, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
    • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacements parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
    • Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest technologies.
    • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, additional services, business potentials, and opportunities).
    • R & D of Equipment.
    • Service existing accounts by investigating complaints, conducting tests; resolving problems.
    • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
    • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance.
    • Documents service and installation actions by documenting processes and producing timely and detailed service reports.
    • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
    • Document processes.
    • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
    • Build positive relationships with customers.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician Requirements:

    • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
    • Experience working with 480VAC, 3Ø in an Industrial environment.
    • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
    • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done correctly the first time.
    • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
    • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
    • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
    • Regular travel will be expected with this position.
    • Lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Driving a vehicle.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and physically be able to drive.
    • Must be physically able to travel by car, train, and/or plane.
    • Standing/Walking/Climbing.
    • Bending/Twisting/Stooping.
    • Must be able to operate equipment.
