Summary

As an Emergency Equipment Repair Technician, you will travel to assigned sites to perform repair work, specializing in emergency equipment troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the service and repair of all fire apparatus equipment
Testing and repairing equipment on-site
Providing troubleshooting and equipment installation
Ensuring customer needs are met promptly
Confirming equipment functionality
Offering telephone support to customers for troubleshooting
Ensuring equipment is working properly after repairs

Qualifications

Willingness to travel within an assigned territory
Dependability and excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage service calls efficiently

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED
Clean driving record with or ability to obtain a Class B non-exempt CDL driver license
Knowledge of repair principles in the Heavy Truck Repair Industry

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) and ASE Heavy Truck Certifications are a plus

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the role requires physical capabilities including handling objects, standing, walking, kneeling, crawling, sitting, climbing, and lifting objects up to 30 pounds. It also requires specific vision abilities.}
